GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH MANCHESTER – 106 Lowell St, Manchester, NH 03101 – 6:30 – 7:00
From our friends at GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH MANCHESTER:
Thursday, December 14, 2017 marks the fifth anniversary of the shooting at Sandy Hook. The shooting that killed 20 innocent children and six educators shattered millions of hearts in America, and around the world.
We invite you to join the Newtown Foundation, and other organizations, to commemorate the five year mark of the Sandy Hook tragedy. Together, we will honor ALL victims and survivors of gun violence. This is a part of several NATIONWIDE VIGILS & EVENTS TO #EndGunViolence.
This short evening service is intended to be a contemplative time. Candles will be lit, prayers will be read, and music will be played.
In 2016, remembrance activities included a National Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Washington D.C., while around the country our friends and allies came together to host 330 events in 43 states. Efforts like these are critical to curbing gun violence in America, where every year over 100,000 Americans are killed or injured by guns. Since the Sandy Hook tragedy in 2012, over 500,000 Americans have been killed or injured by guns. Help us honor their lives by attending this local vigil.
